The Wareham Youth Soccer Club's Under-18 Wareham Ladies travel team was awarded the Sportsmanship Award at the Framingham 29th Memorial Day Sportsmanship Classic on May 31.

The award recognizes outstanding examples of sportsmanship as well as excellent skill and field play.  Against some of the state's best teams, the Ladies played hard and demonstrated their passion and intensity. Although the Ladies ended their tournament with an 0-3-1 record, all games were close and each team had chances to triumph, said team Coach and WYSC President Bob Catarius.

The sportsmanship accomplishment caps a successful season and tournament. The team would like to thank all the fans and parents for cheering and support throughout the season.
