Viking football players spruce up Spillane Field
The Spillane Field ticket booth and storage sheds got a fresh coat of Viking blue paint courtesy of Wareham High School football players on Friday, August 30.
After getting a quick run down on painting procedure from Coach Dan Nault, the group was off and… rolling!
The ticket booth went from a dull, dark gray to the vibrant blue, and two other structures traded green trim and tan paint for the Vikings' blue and white.
"Our colors were never gray and green…" one football player pointed out.
Superintendent Kimberly Shaver-Hood stopped by to check out the progress shortly after the boys got started.
"Thank you guys so much!" she said as the players lobbed on thick coats of paint.
"The pleasure is ours!" Senior Bryce Sewall responded with a grin.
Couch Nault quipped: "They don't have to run for conditioning tonight."
