A pick-up truck crashed into the Pub 99 Restaurant on Cranberry Highway in East Wareham Tuesday, at approximately 5:40 a.m.

"It appears that it could have been a medical issue that caused the accident," said acting police chief Kevin Walsh, noting that the incident is still under investigation. "There were no indications of alcohol use," he added.

While there was extensive damage to the car and the building, no injuries were reported. The driver, Dennis McNevin of East Wareham, has not been cited according to police.

Police at the scene reported that a section of the wall was damaged, and a request was made for the Building Inspector to evaluate the scene.
