Brent Hastings, 26
Brent Michael Hastings, 26, of Middleboro passed unexpectedly on March 12. Born on November 9, 1987, in Wareham, he was the son of Melodye (Hastings) Conway of Wareham and Roger Brunelle Jr. of Middleboro.
Raised in Wareham, Brent was a 2006 graduate of Upper Cape Regional Vocational School. The following year, he pursued his interest in Environmental Studies at Unity College in Maine. Brent proudly served as a Deputy Harbormaster for the Town of Wareham for several summers. He was a Glazier of Local 1044 DC#35 IUPAT.
Brent loved fishing, camping, nature, bonfires, boating, country music, cookouts, Jeeps and off-road riding. His greatest joys were spending time with his family and friends and being outdoors. His open, generous spirit will be greatly missed.
He was the grandson of the late Donald Hastings. Survivors include his mother and stepfather Joseph Conway III, his father and stepmother Lorna Brunelle, his brother Sean Conway, maternal grandmother Jean Shay, paternal grandparents Roger and Marsha Brunelle, girlfriend Ashley Beaton, many aunts, uncles and cousins, his Iguana "Buddy" and his dog "Scrappy."
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, March 19, from 4-8 p.m. at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham with a funeral service to follow at Chapman, Cole & Gleason on Thursday, March 20, at 10 a.m.
