$1,000 scholarship offered by Wareham Garden Club
Attention local students with a green thumb or a passion for conservation: The Wareham Garden Club has announced that a $1,000 scholarship is available for eligible applicants.
Applicants must:
-be a resident of Wareham.
-be graduating in the Spring of 2014 from any high school or technical school.
-have been accepted to an accredited college or school of higher education and must focus his or her study in one or more of the following areas: the environment, horticulture, agriculture, biology, earth sciences, or conservation in the broadest sense.
Any qualified applicant will be given extra consideration for having participated in extracurricular activities in any of the fields listed above in high school or in the community.
Scholarship applications are now available and have been sent to area high schools.

The application deadline is April 30.
