Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth (BID-Plymouth) is pleased to announce the opening of its new Vein Center located at 45 Resnik Road, Plymouth, Mass. The Vein Center, formerly the Vein & Laser Center of New England, provides patients suffering from venous disease of the legs with diagnosis and some of the most progressive and minimally-invasive forms of treatment available. All procedures are performed on an outpatient basis, under local anesthesia, at BID-Plymouth.
“Varicose veins affect 1 out of 2 people age 50 and older, and 15-25% of all adults. With the nearest vein treatment center 30 miles away, this was an opportunity for us to provide the right care and the latest in varicose and spider vein treatment options to patients,” says Dr. Scott James, board-certified vascular surgeon. “That BID-Plymouth has this facility available is a terrific asset for the region.”
Treatment Options
The Center is one of the few offering both VNUS Closure® and laser procedures to patients with varicose and spider veins. With both options available, the Center is able to tailor the appropriate treatment to the individual.
