New flags flying high in Wareham

Sep 15, 2014

Each of the Wareham Public Schools buildings are flying brand new American flags, thanks to Franklin Flags and Wareham Dunkin Donuts locations.

Bob Long of Franklin Flags has made sure that each school has a pristine flag to fly since the early 2000s. Long usually partners with area businesses, who donate the flags. This year, however, he only had to make one stop. Dunkin Donuts owner Dino Pimental agreed to purchase a flag for every school.

"Dunkin Donuts loves to give to the community here," said Pimental. "How more patriotic can you get than by giving a flag?"

Superintendent Dr. Kimberly Shaver-Hood thanked Franklin Flags and Dunkin Donuts for continually ensuring that each of the district's schools can proudly display the stars and stripes.
