John Albert Homer III, 63

John Albert Homer III, 63, of East Wareham, died peacefully at his home on May 8, after a long illness, surrounded by his wife Andrea, his son Michael, his granddaughter Victoria, his cousin Gary, and the couple’s friend Brenda.

Homer was born to the late Jack and Jacqueline (Barchard) Homer, in Brookline. He was raised by the late Charles and Victoria (Jabali) Hardman in Cambridge and graduated from Cambridge Rindge & Latin School.

Homer worked as an HVAC technician for over 30 years, most recently employed by Tri-County Heating & Cooling. He enjoyed music, billiards, film, and was an avid animal lover.

Homer is survived by his wife Andrea T. (Cappiello) Homer, his son Michael J. Homer of Taunton, his stepchildren; Teri-Ann Masefield, Michael Marotte, TJ Masefield and his fiancée Erica Sarnowitz, all of Brockton, Christopher Marotte and his wife Erica of Whitman and Brian Masefield and his husband Carl Henschel of Brooklyn, New York. He was also the father of the late John C. Homer, and the former husband of Maryann (Spangler) Homer.

Mr. Homer was the brother of Wayne Homer of New Jersey, Steve Homer of Florida, and Mark Homer of Pennsylvania and the nephew of Robert Homer of Stoughton, MA. He is also survived by several loving grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
