Join the Friends of the Library for the Rubber Duck Race on June 14 at the Tihonet Pond Canal by buying One Race Duck for $5, a Six Quack of 6 ducks for $25, a Baker’s Dozen of 13 for $50, or a Golden Flock of 25 for $100.

Duck owners are encouraged to have fun and decorate their ducks ahead of time. The yellow rubber ducks will also be available for purchase at the race.

Ducks may be purchased ahead of time at the Library during regular library hours or at the Riverside Cafe, Tihonet Village Market or at the Cape Cod Five Cents Savings Bank.

The race begins at the A.D. Makepeace Company at 150 Tihonet Road in Wareham. Winners will be awarded prizes.  The Duck Kick-Off will be at 2 pm following the Kiwanis 5K run at 11 am.  All proceeds benefit the work of the Friends of the Wareham Free Library.

The drawing for the Quilt Raffle will also take place at the Duck Race. If you haven't bought a ticket for this handmade New England sports team quilt, you still have a chance. They are available at the library and at the race.
