Cape League All-Star game comes to Wareham July 25
Future Major League Baseball stars are coming to Wareham on Saturday, July 25, for the Cape Cod Baseball League All-Star game.
The midsummer classic on the Cape features the best players from around the league and rotates to different towns each year.
This year’s game will be at Spillane Field on Viking Drive. The first pitch is at 6:05 p.m.
Before the game, there will be a full slate of activities starting at 2 p.m., when the gates open to the public.
Batting practice for the East team runs from 2 p.m. to 2:40 p.m., and West team batting practice runs from 2:45 p.m. to 3:25 p.m.
Autograph sessions for East and West pitchers runs from 2:40 p.m. to 3:20 p.m. West position players will sign autographs from 3:25 p.m. to 4:05 p.m., and East position players will sign autographs from 4:10 to 4:50 p.m.
At 5 p.m., there will be a home run hitting contest.
From there on, there will be pre-game ceremonies leading up to the first pitch of the 53rd Cape League All-Star game at 6:05 p.m.
