Asian restaurants coming to Cranberry Highway

West Wareham will be home to a pair of new Japanese restaurants in the near future.

Locals can look forward to the Japanese fine cuisine of Saga Fusion Restaurant opening at Rosebrook Place. Construction began in July, and the restaurant is slated to open in early November, said Linda Burke of AD Makepeace Real Estate Agency. Owned by Angel Chen, Saga already has a location in Barnstable.

The Barnstable location is about a year old and is highly successful, according to Sky Huang, a Saga Fusion representative. Naturally, he said, they decided to expand. The Wareham site will be larger than the one in Barnstable and will be able to accommodate full Hibachi stations. The one in Barnstable does not have Hibachi service.

The two Saga locations are only thirty miles away so the locations remain accessible while also expanding their customer base, Huang said. He is confident the Wareham restaurant will do well.

“Feeling good [about it],” Huang said.

Saga will likely have another Asian restaurant to keep it company.

A property in the Wareham Crossing was leased by Ricky Huang. A Notice of Hearing regarding the transfer of a liquor license for a “120 restaurant containing a bar, seating areas, Hibachi and Sushi stations" was posted last week.

Ricky Huang did not respond to questions about the future establishment.
