Capeway Convenience robbed at knifepoint
An unknown masked man robbed the Capeway Convenience Store on Cranberry Highway at knifepoint Tuesday evening, injuring the store clerk in the process, according to the Wareham Police Department.
Police said they responded to the call at about 7 p.m. The store clerk reported being robbed at knifepoint by an unknown man wearing a mask and dark clothing. The clerk said he sustained a superficial knife wound to his hand, after he grabbed the knife when the suspect reached into the register drawer.
The suspect was described as being a white man, about six feet tall, who entered the store alone. Police said he stole an undetermined amount of money from the register drawer.
Police said officers and a K9 unit conducted a search of the area, but the search yielded no results.
