Peter Dean, 80

Dec 26, 2015

Peter Dean, 80, of Baldwinville, went home to be with the angels on Dec. 23.

He was born in Dennis and moved to Baldwinville 30 years ago.

He had a glorious life for the last 30 years. He was gainfully employed, paying his own way. He belonged to a bell choir and other clubs in his neighborhood. Last year he retired and joined a senior group.

He enjoyed playing Bocce Ball, cards, going to the movies and church.

When he was younger, he spent holidays and vacations at his friend’s home.

Mr. Dean loved to help. He was a kind and gentle soul. He loved to joke. He rooted for the Red Sox. He always bought gifts for his friends at Christmas. He won many medals at the Special Olympics.

In Peter’s memory, thank you to the following people: Judge Dooley, Rev. Richard Clifford, Rep. Charles Decas, and Mike Barnacle (formerly of the Boston Globe).

Survivors include his friends, Michael and Joyce Morrison of Onset, Stephen Morrison of Centerville, Joseph Morrison of Wareham, Grace Morrison of Onset, Erica Anderson and Jacob Morrison both of Wareham.

His graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015 in Agawam Cemetery. Visiting hours have been omitted.

Arrangements are by the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Hwy., Wareham. For directions and online guestbook, visit: www.ccgfuneralhome.com.
