James F. Pitts, 56, of West Wareham and Hyannis, passed away Monday, Jan. 25, at Cape Cod Hospital.

James was born in Wareham, the son of the late Charles O. and Gene (Akins) Pitts. He attended Wareham Public Schools and was a 1977 graduate of Upper Cape Vocational High School. A licensed electrician, James worked for Kevin Dineen Electrical Contractors, of Nantucket.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing and was an avid New England sports fan.

James is survived by his fiancé, Mary O’Donnell, her daughter Kaitlynn and grandson Jaiden, of Hyannis. He was the brother of Paula and her husband Edward Lukey, of Sharon, Kathy and her husband Donald Kahrman, of West Wareham, Charles A. Pitts, of West Wareham, and Janine M. Pitts, of Rockland. James was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, Feb. 1 at 11 a.m. in Centre Cemetery, Tihonet Road. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend.
