Wareham Historical Society hosts Presidents Day celebration

The Wareham Historical Society will host a Presidents Day celebration at 7:00 p.m. on Presidents Day Monday, February 21 at the Old Methodist Meeting House, located at 495 Main Street in Wareham.
Presenters Bob Blair and scout troop 93 will explain the proper display, folding treatment, and disposal procedures of the United States Flag.
Bruce Baggarly will present "A Dangerous Business in a Perilous Time: New Bedford's Whalers and the American Civil War," about the era of commercial whaling in New Bedford during the 19th century.
Baggarly is a well-known lecturer on 16th century history, President Abraham Lincoln, and the American Civil War.
