Give President-Elect Donald Trump a chance

Dec 1, 2016

(Editor’s note: The following is in response to a pair of letters to the editor Wareham Week published that criticized President-Elect Donald Trump.)

To the Editor:

YES the citizens of this country do think we’ve done ourselves proud.

The statement Trump makes about bringing back jobs is something we supporters believe. Ford has decided to keep production in their Tennessee plant and not move it to Mexico. Also he is working with Carrier trying to keep their jobs in Indiana. Good start for someone not sworn into office yet.

You talk about 52 percent of woman voting for Trump because of his potty mouth. Why should they vote for Clinton when she has taken tens of million of dollars from countries where woman have little or no rights. Which is worse?

You say Trump started the birther movement. Google will disagree with you. Many stories on the Web say Clinton started the birther movement in 2008. But who knows for sure.

Do not blame Bernie Sanders voters for supporting Trump. Bernie would be president-elect today if Clinton didn’t cheat. Clinton, with help from the Democratic National Committee did everything to hurt Bernie’s chances and when we heard Clinton got the questions before the debates, the fix was in. How can anyone vote for a cheater?

You would punish your children if caught cheating in school. Her election loss is her punishment.

Give President-Elect Donald Trump (I like saying that) a chance.

Better times for America,

Roy Folsom
