A Wareham couple is facing drug-related and resisting arrest charges after allegedly fleeing police and attempting to lock them out of a house on Cranberry Lane Thursday afternoon.

According to Wareham Police, Mario Ogletree, 30, of 2 Cranberry Lane was charged with resisting arrest and two counts of possession of a Class B substance (Suboxone and Buprenorphine). Ogletree’s girlfriend, Christine Quinn, 28, of Wareham, is charged with resisting arrest, failure to submit to police, operating after license suspension and three counts of possession of a Class B substance (cocaine, Xanax, amphetamine).

Police said the incident began when Detective William deSilva observed Quinn, who has a revoked license, driving near the intersection of Depot Street and Minot Avenue. Ogletree was following her in a separate car, police said.

When the couple parked at the Cranberry Lane home deSilva approached them. Police said Ogletree then walked into the house, while Quinn moved from the driver’s seat of her car to the passenger seat, leaving a purse and a plastic bag containing what police believed to be cocaine on the driver’s seat.

Police said Quinn then refused to open the car door, before she grabbed the bag and ran into the house with deSilva in pursuit. Police said Ogletree then locked the door, preventing officers from entering.

A search warrant was then obtained and executed, during which time cocaine residue and Suboxone were located in a bathroom, along with hypodermic needles and empty bags, police said. Also located in the home was a purse owned by Quinn that police said held several Amphetamine and Xanax pills. Buprenorphine pills were found in the house, too.

Ogletree and Quinn were scheduled to be arraigned on April 21 at Wareham District Court.
