Wareham man charged with OUI in Sandwich

A 33-year-old Wareham man was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of drugs after a traffic stop in East Sandwich on May 12.

According to published reports, Adam Grant was stopped at approximately 7 a.m. after police received a number of 911 calls regarding an erratic operator on Route 6A.

According to police, Grant was found behind the wheel and admitted to using drugs before driving.

Grant then failed multiple sobriety tests. Police said heroin, Xanax, scales and packaging materials were found in the vehicle.

Grant has been charged with operating under the influence of drugs, operating to endanger, a marked lanes violation, possession of a Class E drug and intent to distribute a Class A drug.
