Wareham advanced placement students honored at pep rally

Oct 2, 2017

On Sept. 27, Wareham High school administrators celebrated 27 College Board Advanced Placement students who received qualifying scores on their latest advanced placement exams. A qualifying score is recognized by most colleges and universities as a 100 level college-level course that the students would not have to take as a freshman.

This celebration took place in the auditorium with the school’s band and cheerleaders performing. Advanced placement students from the 2016-17 school year were honored as well, and the current advanced placement students and honors level sophomore students were invited to join.

Several special guests were on hand to congratulate the students. They were: Superintendent Dr. Kimberley Shaver-Hood, State Rep. Susan Williams Gifford (R-Wareham) and the Mass Insight Education Science Coordinator, Leslie Prudhomme.

Principal Scott Palladino and Assistant Principal Deborah Freitas coordinated this event and recognized the efforts of the students with certificates of achievement and honored them with two new banners listing the names of the students that will hang above the school's trophy case.

The students recognized were: Adrainna Adams, Brittany Arnold, Jarred Bettencourt, Daniella Cobb, Renneanna Dillen, Nicholas Dix, Hannah Eddleston, Sara Gallagher, Abigail Glidden, Elizabeth Griffith, Bradley Harunkiewicz, Jocelyn Hendrix, Madison Hough, Cameron Keith, Carolyn King, Tyler Litchfield, Brett McSherry, Ryann McSherry, Ethan Osley, Aaron Packer, Alisha Papadakis, Mini Patel, Victoria Russo, Jessica Savageau, Sara Tyma, Jackson Wallace and Lisa Wynne.
