Wareham Historical Society hosts presentation on Wareham life in 1872

The Wareham Historical Society will present a program at the Methodist Meeting House at 495 Main Street on Oct. 16 at 4 p.m.

Donna Truran will talk about life in Wareham’s Tihonet Village from 1872 to 1927 on her family’s little farm on land surrounding Harlow Brook. She will allow listeners to journey back in time to the turn of the last century with about her grandmother, Mabel Besse Jones and memorabilia, pictures and gingerbread made with her grandmother’s recipe.
