Wareham residents to pay more for beach, transfer station stickers

Nov 21, 2017

Selectmen hiked transfer station and beach sticker fees for the first time in roughly 15 years on Monday night.

“I know it seems steep, but consider yourself lucky no one saw to raise them in the past 15 years,” Selectmen Chair Peter Teitelbaum said.

Previous rates for a combination transfer station and beach sticker for residents were $30. Seniors paid $15. The new rates split the cost of the stickers. A transfer station sticker now costs $40 for residents and $20 for seniors. Additional vehicle stickers cost $10 and replacement stickers cost $5.

Beach parking permits now cost $15 for residents and $5 for seniors. Non-resident stickers cost $50, guest placards cost $50 and a day pass will cost $10 and only be valid at Swifts Beach and Swifts Neck. Replacement beach stickers cost $5.
