Winter Vacation Family Explorations in Wareham on Dec. 28, 29

Dec 18, 2017

The Buzzards Bay Coalition will host Winter Vacation Family Explorations, a series of two free outings in Wareham during winter vacation week. Through games and hands-on activities, participants will learn about animals, plants and habitats in the Buzzards Bay region.

On Dec. 28, learn how to identify wintering birds on a bird walk at the Lyman Reserve (110 Red Brook Road, Plymouth), and then make your own backyard bird feeder to bring home.

On Dec. 29, discover the fun of geocaching on a treasure hunt through Horseshoe Mill (end of Station Street, Wareham.) Both programs run from 10 to 11:30 a.m.

These programs are recommended for families with elementary school-aged children.

Registration is required for both programs. To RSVP, visit www.savebuzzardsbay.org/events or contact the Buzzards Bay Coalition at 508-999-6363 ext. 219.
