Robert Fagan, 81

Robert L. Fagan, 81, of Wareham died Dec. 22 in the Life Care Center of Plymouth with his loving family by his side. He was the son of the late Clarence and Martha E. (Robertson) Fagan and the brother of the late Richard J. Fagan and his surviving wife Judith Fagan of Bourne.

His survivors include his beloved wife, Barbara G. (LaBouliere) Fagan of Buzzards Bay and his five children, Shaun Fagan of Kansas City, Missouri, Dick Fagan and his wife Mary of Buzzards Bay; Nancy Fagan of Naples, Florida, Laura Fagan of Auburn, Washington and Karen Fagan of Los Angeles, California; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was born in Boston and lived in Brighton in his youth and then Buzzards Bay for many years.

Mr. Fagan graduated from Wareham High School and attended Boston University.

He was a peacetime veteran serving in the United States Navy.
 Mr. Fagan was a vice president at George A. Fuller Construction Company for many years before retiring.

He loved his family greatly and his favorite times were spent with his family and friends.

His wit, sense of humor and his wonderful smile will be deeply missed.

He enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing and biking. He was a member of the Gleason Family YMCA.

The family wants to thank the staff at Life Care Center of Plymouth for their care and compassion given to Robert over the last nine months.

His Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 5 in St. Margaret’s Church, 141 Main St., Buzzards Bay. Burial will follow in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.

Visiting hours have been omitted.
