BB’s Bar & Grill is closed until further notice following a lightning strike on Jan. 24.

Repairs are currently taking place at the restaurant, located at 2424 Cranberry Highway in West Wareham. BB’s Bar & Grill is expected to reopen sometime next week.

Joan Holmes was next door at Rockland Trust when the lightning struck and said "it sounded like a bomb went off."

"There was a bright light in the front and the back of the building and then it was gone," Holmes said. "The whole building shook...I've never experienced anything like that."
