There’s going to be a homecoming (of sorts) for the Wareham High School Class of 1934.

A framed photograph featuring 55 students from the class was discovered in a Buzzards Bay antiques shop by Nathan Caradimos, 24, of Onset. An avid antique collector, Caradimos said the picture caught his eye a few years back. He purchased it and started a search to see if anyone photographed was still alive.

On Wednesday, Caradimos brought the photograph before the School Committee as a donation. He asked that it be displayed in the Multi-Service Center, which served as the town’s high school in 1934.

“I just want to give this back to the town in the hope it will be hung up for the public to enjoy,” he said.

Regarding his search for the class members, Caradimos said he learned that a handful of former students were alive when he bought the photograph. However, they passed away before he could make contact. Caradimos did locate the daughter of class member Evelyn Burgess, noting she was interested in his find.

Committee members thanked Caradimos for the donation. Superintendent Dr. Kimberly Shaver-Hood said he will be invited to pick a spot in the Multi-Service Center where the photograph will be displayed.
