Following a dramatic overtime win on Feb. 12, the Wareham boys basketball team will play for the title of South Coast Conference champions on Friday.

The game is set to begin at 6:30 p.m. against Apponequet in Lakeville.

The boys’ record is currently 12-5 overall and 10-3 for conference games. The team has advanced in part by dominant play from Dominic Mello. The sophomore scored a career high 41 points on Feb. 3 against Rhode Island-based Classical High School.

In the most recent game, Mello hit a perfectly timed jump shot with the score tied at 58 with seconds left in the game. The Vikings won 60-58.
