Apr 3, 2018

Wareham will go to the polls today, Tuesday, April 3, as challengers are looking to oust two incumbents on the Board of Selectmen and School Committee.

Polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. across town. Polling locations are as follows: Precinct One, Memorial Town Hall, 54 Marion Road; Precinct Two: Ethel E. Hammond School, 13 Highland Ave.; Precinct Three: Minot Forest School, 63 Minot Ave.; Precinct Four: Decas School, 760 Main St.; Precinct Five: Decas School, 760 Main St.; Precinct Six: Minot Forest School, 63 Minot Ave.

Voters will decide whether to re-elect Selectman incumbent Alan Slavin and current School Committee Vice Chair Geoff Swett. Planning Board member Marc Bianco is challenging Slavin for his seat. A second seat on the board is being sought by Mary Bruce, who is unopposed.

The School Committee race has three candidates – Mike Flaherty, Rebekah Pratt and Swett – seeking two seats. The top two vote getters will win spots on the committee.
