Renee M. Rothman, 57, of Onset, formerly of Newton, died April 8 at her home in Onset. She was the wife of Stuart Rothman.

Born in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter of Alvin Gordon of Nokomis, Florida, and the late Judith M. (Roberts) Sommers.

Renee graduated from ITT Technical Institute in 1982 and began her work for the Hurco Companies Incorporated of Indianapolis. She moved to Del Mar, California where she lived a short time, before moving to Newton. A resident of Newton for 25 years, she moved to Onset in 2012. Most recently, Renee worked as property manager for Barkan Management in Yarmouthport.

Renee loved to cook and enjoyed her workshop where she could fix most anything. She was a member of Straight Blast Gym in Wareham where she trained in the martial art style of Muay Thai.

She is survived by her husband, Stuart Rothman of Onset; her brother, Tony Gordon (Brenda) of Indianapolis, Indiana; her sister, Lori Braun (Jason) of Indianapolis, Indiana; her step-brother, Mike Sommers of Indianapolis, Indiana; her step-sisters, Bobby Farner, Teresa Coe and Tina Lundy both of Indianapolis, Indiana; her father, Alvin Gordon of Nokomis, Florida; her stepfather, Robert Sommers of Salina, Ohio; her nephew, James Betterton; her nieces, Jessica Betterton and Makenzie Braun; her great nephew, Levi Carson all of Indianapolis, Indiana. She was predeceased by her mother Judith M. Sommers and her stepmother Dorothy Gordon.

Relatives and friends are invited to a memorial service at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Route 28), Wareham on Wednesday, April 11 at 2 p.m.
