Dean S. Horton, 59, of Wareham, died April 22 in Tobey Hospital. He was the husband of Cathleen M. “Cathy” Horton and the son of the late H. Richard and Jeanne P. (Lalime) Horton.

He was born in Brockton and lived in Wareham for most of his life. He graduated from Wareham High School.

Mr. Horton owned and operated Horton Construction in Wareham for many years. He was a talented craftsman.

He enjoyed golfing and baseball and following his sons play sports. He was a fan of all Boston sports teams.

Survivors include his wife, Cathleen M. “Cathy” Horton of Wareham; two sons, Hunter R. Horton of Boston, and Tyler C. Hunter of Wareham; two brothers, Dick Horton, and Robert Horton both of Wareham; a daughter, Deb Goss of Vero Beach, Florida.

Visiting hours will be from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, in the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway, Wareham, followed by a graveside service at 11:30 a.m. in Agawam Cemetery, Wareham.
