Evelyn Inman (Whitehouse), 94

Apr 26, 2018

Evelyn Florence Inman (Whitehouse), 94, of Buzzards Bay, passed away on April 24 after a long, wonderful life. She was a loving companion, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and dear friend to many.

She brought life to any room and made you feel right at home during every visit. “Big Red” as she was known to her family and friends, loved with all her heart and soul and displayed her fiery spirit in everything she did. You could hear it in the volume of her voice, whether in conversation or at events, as she sang hymns in church, or as she comforted you when you cried. Earth was so much better for her presence and now Heaven has gained an angel.

She will be deeply missed by her companion/best friend Dan Powers and her grandchildren Merry Lynn Myers; Bruce Myers and his partner, Nicole Laliberte; Linda Dennison and her husband John, her great-grandchild, Taylor; and countless nieces, nephews, and cousins of many generations. She was a beloved “auntie” to many.

She was predeceased by her husband G. Parker Inman, her daughter Phyllis I. Evasius, Phyllis’s husband Roy Evasius; and her great-granddaughter, Brooke.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Saturday, April 28, at the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Route 28), Wareham from 1 to 2:30 p.m. A funeral service will follow at 2:30 p.m. Interment will follow in Oakland Grove Cemetery, Bourne.

Donations in her memory may be made to the Amedisys Foundation (to benefit Beacon Hospice), 32 Resnick Rd., Plymouth, MA 02360. For directions and online guestbook visit: www.ccgfuneralhome.com.
