Frank Trovato, 88

Frank C. Trovato, 88, of Bourne, passed away peacefully on May 14 at home. He was the beloved husband of Carole L. (Kerber) Trovato. He was the son of the late Frank and Theresa (Guarino) Trovato and predeceased by brother Joe and sisters Jennie and Mimi.

He was born in Boston and lived in Onset and Bourne for the past 40 years.

Mr. Trovato retired from Polaroid Corporation after working for 29 years as building manager. After leaving Polaroid, he owned and operated the family florist business with his wife Carole – Found the Florist. After selling the flower shop in 1999, he and his wife Carole retired and moved to Naples, Florida. After residing in Florida for many years, he decided to move back to Bourne to be closer to family and friends.

He was a proud veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1946 to 1948.

Survivors include his children, David Trovato of Tampa, Florida, Tod Trovato of Bourne; two grandchildren, David J. Wright and his spouse Jason of Seattle, Washington, and Matthew Trovato of Hyannis; two great grandchildren, twins Phoebe and Milo Wright. He is also survived by his former daughter in-law, Donna Buckley of Bourne, his 93-year-old brother, Leo Trovato, and his wife Gloria of Stoneham; his sister in-law, Deanna Johnson and her husband Kevin of Webster, New York; brother in-law, Roger Kerber and his wife Nicki of Phoenix, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, the late Frank C. Trovato, Jr.

Services and burial at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne will be private.
