Kevin Horrigan, 49
Kevin M. Horrigan, 49, died June 4, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston from injuries sustained in a workplace accident.
Born in Boston, he was the son of Elizabeth (Antinello) Chambers of East Wareham, and the late Dennis Horrigan.
Kevin graduated from Wareham High School, Class of 1987. He was a previous resident of Martha’s Vineyard before moving back to Wareham. His work career began with furniture restoration before he went to work in the construction field.
He enjoyed playing pool at the Fan Club in Wareham and participated in several tournaments locally and in Las Vegas. He enjoyed travelling, music, white water rafting and canoeing the Saco River. Kevin was a fan of the Patriots, Red Sox, and Bruins sports teams. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and babysitting his nieces and nephews.
In a final act of kindness, Kevin was able to donate vital organs to those in need.
He is survived by his mother, Elizabeth Chambers of East Wareham; his brother, Dennis Horrigan of Fort Lauderdale, Florida; his sisters, Karen Andrews of East Wareham, and Sandra Crispin; his step-brothers, David Chambers of Taunton, and Dean Chambers of Goffstown, New Hampshire. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be from the Chapman, Cole & Gleason Funeral Home, 2599 Cranberry Highway (Rt. 28), Wareham on June 13 at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick’s Church, High St., Wareham at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Center Cemetery, Wareham. Visiting hours will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m..
