Wareham Police arrest 2 after motor vehicle stop

Wareham Police arrested two men on drug and other charges after stopping an erratic driver on June 7.

Police said at approximately 6:40 p.m., Sgt. Daniel Henderson saw a pick-up truck swerve across the center line into oncoming traffic on Route 6 near Cranberry Plaza. Henderson stopped the truck and found that the driver, Jeffrey Johnson, 24, of East Wareham had an active warrant and suspended driver’s license. The passenger, Zachary Mulcahy, 23, no address listed, had an active arrest warrant for burglary from the state of California. While arresting both, police found what they believed to be heroin inside the pick-up.

Mulcahy was charged with possession of a class A drug and being a fugitive from justice. Johnson was charged with operating with a suspended driver’s license.
