The Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce and the Town of Wareham will host “Meet Me At The Tremont” on Aug. 25 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The event takes place at the Tremont Nail Factory, a historic landmark on the Wankinco River. The town-owned, 7.2-acre site is located at 8 Elm St.

The Tremont Nail Company, which since 1819 had manufactured cut nails and other products, sold the site to Wareham in 2004. Town and state officials want to transform the former industrial site into a destination for residents and tourists.

Refreshments at “Meet Me at the Tremont” include a chef-prepared buffet by Minkle Boys Catering. The Barn Pottery Artists will craft and decorate pieces. There will be a cash bar and music by Daddy-O.
