Friday, July 29
Outstanding Young Artists Concert
Cranberry Coast Concerts is in full swing. The regional music festival with the motto “From Bach to Rock” will present local, national, and international touring concert artists in a wide variety of performance environments.
On Friday, July 29, rising stars from the community will be featured in Cranberry Coast Concerts’ Annual “Outstanding Young Artists Concert.” Featured will be Jessica Schloesser and local pianist, vocalist and flautist Eric Balboni. This performance is free to the community. All donations will accepted in benefit of the festival. The concert begins at 7:00 p.m. at Eastern Bank, located at 226 Main Street.
Tickets are available at the door 30 minutes before each concert. Ticket prices are $20 for general admission and $18 for seniors and students. Children ages 5 to 17 are free with a paid adult.

Fender Bender
The Fender Bender hot rod and bike show is scheduled for July 30 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Band Shell in Onset.
In addition to hot rods and fast bikes, the family-friendly event will feature a wrestling show with big names like Jimmy Snuka and Brutus Beefcake.
At least 50 vendors will be in attendance, offering everything from face painting to T-shirts and hand-made jewelry.
If you are looking to enter you own car in the show, vehicle registration is from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Trophies will be awarded for the best truck, hot rod, chopper, muscle car, concept car, 4x4, bobber (motorcycle using old, second-hand parts), stock car, and rat rod. There will also be an "almost made it" trophy and an award for "best in show."
Attendees should park at the lot across from Lopes Field on Onset Avenue. Admission to the event is free.

And if one party isn't enough to celebrate Sinners and Saints' birthday, an after-party cookout will be held at Gilda's Stone Rooster in Marion beginning at 6 p.m.
Christopher Donovan Day School fundraiser
The Christopher Donovan Day School, an alternative-education private elementary school located on Recovery Road, is holding a Hawaiian luau fundraiser on July 30 at the Commercial Club, located on 1 Neilson Ave. in East Bridgewater.
The event will feature a raffle and auction, which includes autographed Red Sox and Celtics memorabilia, gift baskets, and a year's worth of Organic Valley food products. The luau will also offer a dee-jay, reiki, and crafts and other activities for children. Children will also be able to meet with Samboni, the mascot for the Providence Bruins.
Tickets are $30 for adults and $17 for children under age 12.
The event will raise money for scholarships and field trips for the nonprofit day school that is opening this September.

Onset Blues Festival
The Onset Bay Association is hosting its 19th annual Blues Festival at the Band Shell in Onset on Saturday, August 6.
Food and specialty vendors will open booths at 9 a.m. The music begins and noon.
Performers include the Gil Correia Band, James Montgomery, Professor Harp, Rosemary’s Baby Blues, Peter Parcek, Erin Harp, Luke Mulholland, Charlie Ferrin, Jon Butcher, Kid Bangham, and Sugar Ray.
