Opinion: Be aware of Ovarian Cancer symptoms
To the Editor:
My name is Susan Grebber and I’m an ovarian cancer survivor of nine years. Saturday, May 8, 2021, is World Ovarian Cancer Day and I thought this would be a good time to once again raise awareness of this deadly disease.
My message is to listen to your body, and if you are having symptoms like frequent urination, feeling full quickly, bloating, pelvic or abdominal pain, back pain and even constipation and it lasts for more than two weeks, please go and get it checked out.
I’m grateful that I’m still alive and beat this disease so I can help other women do the same.
If you have anything to wear in the color teal on this day, please do so in support of women that are currently fighting this, the ones that survived, and to the women that sadly succumbed to ovarian cancer.
Thank you all and God bless.
