Wareham High School graduate and Merrimack College senior Aaron Strothers scored his 1,000th career point for the college on January 31.

Strothers is the 39th player in the basketball program's history to hit the milestone.

The 6'7" forward is majoring in sociology. In Wareham, he was part of the Vikings' 2006-2007 undefeated regular season and graduated after setting a school record for most points scored in a game (45).
