Eleanor R. (Rose) Griffin, 88, died Saturday, March 13, 2010 at the Forestview Nursing Home in Wareham. She was the wife of the late Joseph M. Griffin.

Born in Middleborough, the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Amaral) Rose, she graduated from Middleborough High School. A resident of Wareham for most of her life, Mrs. Griffin was head teller at Wareham National Bank for many years. She enjoyed reading.

Survivors include her daughter Diana "Kay" Connell, of Ridgewood, NJ; her son Robert M. Griffin, of Royalton, VT; her brother Richard G. Rose, of Murphy, NC; grandchildren Shane Marino, Sadie Lyford, Ferron M. Griffin, Wylie J. Griffin, and Jolee V. Griffin, and great-grandsons, Hayden and Coy Lyford.

Graveside services will be private.
