The Wareham High School boys indoor track team placed third in the 4x200-meter relay at the MIAA Division 5 Championships, held in Boston on Thursday, Feb. 16. 

Thanks to their third place finish, the boys will go on to compete in the Meet of Champions in Boston on Saturday, Feb. 25. 

“I am really proud of the work the kids have done,” said Head Coach Chris Gardner. “Almost all of them had a personal best last night. They care deeply about their effort, attitude and work effort, and it shows in their results. The best part about these kids is that they are excellent on the track and field and even better in and out of the classroom.” 

Members of the High School boys and girls indoor track teams made it to Thursday’s Division 5 Championships, thanks to their performance in the Southcoast Conference Championships held in New Bedford on Saturday, Feb. 11.
