Organizations, businesses, classrooms and other groups looking to raise awareness of Wareham’s shellfish resources can apply for grants of up to $1,000 from the Wareham Oyster Festival Inc. 

Programs seeking funding can be scientific, artistic or educational in nature, but there are no restrictions on what types of programs can seek funding.

The programs seeking funding can happen at any time and in any location, as long as they take place in 2023.

To apply, visit warehamoyster.com/seeking-program-proposals no later than 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 29. 

Grant recipients will be announced by Friday, May 5. 

The seventh annual Wareham Oyster Festival will take place on Sunday, May 28 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. this year. The Festival will feature fresh oysters and other seafood, live music, arts, crafts, vendors and a 5K to benefit local youth groups.
