Kathleen A. Clements, 85
WAREHAM – Kathleen A. Clements, 85, of Wareham, died Thursday, February 29, 2024. She was the wife of the late William T. Clements.
Born in New Bedford, she was the daughter of the late Michael & Anastasia (Griffin) Murphy and was raised by her maternal grandparents, James and Mary Griffin. Kathleen graduated from Wareham High School, Class of 1956, and was employed as a telephone operator for New England Telephone in Wareham.
She was an active parishioner and volunteer at St. Patrick's Church in Wareham and was a member of St. Patrick's Circle. In her early years she was a majorette for the town band. In her retirement years she enjoyed working at the polls and at town meeting. Kathleen loved to attend her grandchildren's sports events, concerts, and theatrical productions. Her Saturday afternoons were spent watching Notre Dame football. She also enjoyed preparing corned beef and cabbage for Saint Patrick’s Day, and baking brownies, chocolate cake, and chocolate pie for her beloved grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Michael Clements and his wife Jessee of West Wareham, Edward Clements and his wife Susan of Wareham, Karen Storey and her husband Paul of Williamstown, Mary Clements, Kathleen Clements, and Sheila Clements all of Wareham, and Stephanie Clements of Beverly. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, Edward, Joseph, Andre, Paul, Morgan, Michael, Laura, Camden, Stella and Dana, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, the late James Desmond Murphy. Also loved by many, especially her cousin and life-long friend, Judith Galavotti and her dear friend, Marie Cooney.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at Chapman Funerals & Cremations – Wareham, 2599 Cranberry Hwy. (Rt. 28), Wareham from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Her funeral will held on Monday, March 11, 2024 from the funeral home at 10:00 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Patrick's Church, 94 High St., Wareham at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Wareham.
