Fifth and final home invasion suspect surrenders
The fifth and final suspect in a May 17 East Wareham home invasion is in police custody.
Jordan JP Gomes, 21, turned himself in at Wareham District Court on Tuesday, June 19. He was accompanied by his lawyer, according to a Wareham Police statement.
Gomes was transported to the Wareham Police Department, where he was booked and then transported back to the court for arraignment, according to police.
Gomes faces charges of home invasion while armed, two counts of aggravated rape, assault with a dangerous weapon, assault and battery, larceny from a building, and destruction of personal property, police said.
Officers responding to the Dana Lane home on May 17 found that two women had been sexually assaulted, one man had been assaulted, and the parties were robbed at gunpoint by masked men, according to police.
Four men were previously arrested in connection with the incident: Robert Brown, Jr., 18, of 393B Onset Ave., apartment 2, Justin Gomes, Jr., 17, of 294 Main Street, apartment 3A; Kendrick Williams, 18, of 7 Water Street; Brian Santiago, 20, of Wareham.
