Swan Festival, Antiques Fair fill downtown Wareham for 4th of July

Jul 4, 2012

Wareham Village celebrated America’s 236th birthday from Besse Park to Center Park during the newly-formatted 16th annual Swan Festival and 36th annual Antiques Fair on Wednesday.

The 4th of July celebration included community mural painting for troops serving overseas, a packed pet parade (click here for coverage), swan paddle boats, horse-drawn carriage rides, live music, vendors, and plenty of other family-friendly activities during the Wareham Village Association's festival.

The Antiques Fair, hosted by the Wareham Historical Society in Center Park, offered collectibles from the turn of the century and antique appraisals during Wareham’s own version of the Antiques Road Show, produced by WCTV.

The annual fiddle contest delighted spectators. (Check back here for photos and video from the contest!)
