BUZZARDS BAY — Cape Cod Canal Day, the free family-friendly event hosted by the Cape Cod Canal Region Chamber of Commerce, has been rescheduled to Sunday, Sept. 22 due to inclement weather Saturday. 

The event will run from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Buzzards Bay Park on Main Street in Buzzards Bay along the Cape Cod Canal. There is no fee to attend Cape Cod Canal Day following donations from 45 community sponsors. 

Even though the event was moved the dozens of food trucks from area restaurants and 100 craft and informational vendors will fill the park. The event will also feature a raffle with prizes from the Cape Cod Chamber of Commerce and participating vendors. A $25-per-person cornhole tournament will also take place on the day of the event.  

Finally, while patrons shop and eat they can enjoy music from the Massachusetts Maritime Academy Marching Band, the Joe Merrick Classic Rock Trio, Chicago Total Access and Diane Blue. Also, Wareham-based The Pound Martial Arts Center will put on a show of self-defense strategies. 

The 5K Road Race will still be held on Saturday, September 21 at 9:15 a.m. at the Buzzards Bay Railroad Bridge on the Cape Cod Canal.
