Wareham crews respond to roll-over accident on Route 25 in Bourne
Wareham first-responders were on the scene of a roll-over accident on Route 25 in Bourne that resulted in the transport of three persons to Tobey Hospital today.
One of the three occupants of the roll-over vehicle suffered a severe head injury, according to Bourne Deputy Fire Chief Joe Carrara. A helicopter was requested but was not available due to rainy weather conditions, said Carrara.
The other two occupants of the roll-over vehicle, a Kia Sorrento, suffered low severity injuries, said Carrara.
A Toyota Camry with one occupant was also involved in the accident. The driver denied medical treatment after the crash, said Carrara. The Camry suffered minor damage.
The Onset Fire Department and Wareham EMS responded to the accident which occurred near the Bournedale overpass on the eastbound lane of Route 25 in Bourne. The accident occurred at approximately 1:11 p.m., Carrara said.
The accident was cleared up by 2 p.m.
