A 25-year-old man was medflighted from Tobey Hospital following a dirt bike accident at Diamond MX motocross track.

The accident occurred the afternoon of Sunday, June 22. Onset Fire Department was first on scene where Assistant Chief Howard Andersen said they received a report of a male not breathing following a motorbike accident.

Upon arrival, Andersen said they found the injured man with "significant injuries” but breathing. He was then brought to Tobey Hospital by Wareham Emergency Medical Services and medflighted to a hospital in Rhode Island.

In 2021, a 13-year-old was killed in a dirt bike accident at Diamond MX and a 14-year-old was killed at the track in 2024.

A representative from Diamond MX could not be immediately reached for comment.

The accident is under investigation by the Wareham Police Department and the Massachusetts Environmental Police.

Wareham Police did not respond to multiple requests for comment.
