Christmas on Main Street parade features festive floats, seafood bisque delivery

Dec 9, 2012

A gingerbread house, dancing elves, Santa and Mrs. Claus in a swan boat, inline-skating hockey players, and Lindsey's Family Restaurant cooks doling out samples of seafood bisque were just some of the creative and festive floats that headed through town during the Wareham Village Association's Christmas on Main Street parade on Sunday, Dec. 9.

The event went off without a hitch, after inclement weather caused organizers to postpone it on Saturday.

The theme was "Main Street Magic," and there was a lot of holiday magic to go around!

Floats were judged in various categories by Wareham residents Bob White, Joanne Byron, Anne Eisenmenger (Wareham Week publisher), and Patrick Lester.

Here are the winners. Check out the galleries to see the floats!
