Two Wareham men were arrested Wednesday night in Milton, after a routine traffic stop turned up evidence of heroin trafficking and distribution.

According to a Massachusetts State Police, driver Andrew Prunier, 28, and passenger William Colleary, 41, both of Wareham, were stopped by State Police Trooper Kyle Reed. While on patrol, Reed noticed that Prunier's Saturn Ion was in violation of traffic laws.

A search of the vehicle and passengers produced 63 grams of heroin, as well as evidence consistent with the sale and distribution of narcotics, police said.

Boston Police Officer Liam Hawkins and his K9 Rush assisted at the scene.

Prunier and Colleary were arrested and transported to the Milton Barracks, where they were booked. They will be arraigned April 6 in Quincy District Court.

Andrew Prunier was charged with trafficking heroin, possession with the intention of distribution of a Class A substance, being present where heroin was kept, and conspiracy to violate drug laws. He was also issued a citation for failure to stop/yield, and a lack of inspection sticker.

William Colleary was charged with trafficking heroin, possession with the intention to distribute a Class A substance, being present where heroin was kept, and conspiracy to violate drug laws. He was also charged with failure to wear a seat belt.
