$200,000 in damages after Wareham blaze
A fire caused an estimated $200,000 of damage. The residential blaze began at 10:05 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21.
The fire was a two alarm-er.
Wareham, Onset, Carver and Marion fire departments responded to the fire at 22 Fairfield Drive.In all, 34 firefighters were on the scene.
There were no injuries, although the attic and second floor were "severely" damaged according to the Wareham Fire Department. The building was being occupied by one person at the time of the blaze.
The cause of the fire was accidental, though an investigation is presently underway.
Firefighters took turns going in and out of the house with oxygen tanks strapped to their backs as they worked to put to the fire out. Firefighters left the scene shortly before 3 p.m.
