Michael Honkonen, 54, of Daytona Beach, FL passed away suddenly on Aug 16 after battling many health issues. He was the son of the late David Honkonen of Middleboro. Born and raised in Wareham, he graduated from Upper Cape in 1989 and went on to work in the masonry union.

Michael loved sports and fishing especially with his boys and visiting the White Mountains with his family. After moving to Florida his favorite pasttime was getting up early to watch the sun rise on the beach.

Survivors include his mother Catherine of West Wareham, his sons Brayden and Gavin of Plymouth, a daughter Maddy of Wareham and his sister Sarah Monteiro of Swansea. He also leaves behind his fiance Shauna of Daytona Beach, Florida
